Happy family

We are invited our neighbor's party , we have know each other since 1988, they are always nice, and their children and my children use to play when their are little, Now they are close to 30 year old and both houses are empty nest. Their family is very nice and have strong relationship for both husband and wife side.
Every occasion all grandpas and grandmas, brothers and sisters come to their house, and of course their children too. Anytime we see Mr. neighbor's father treats us as their children, I guess their culture have great heart. But keeping strong family relationship is Mrs. neighbor's effort and her warmest heart. The party is great and foods and wines are good, and all friends are great too.

Build your Credit

  It surprises me that some of Japanese women do not have credit history, even they stay legally in the USA for long time. They do not have their own name:s credit card or bank accounts. One of my clients she has been running grocery store with her husband, but she does not have income on tax record. She has joint account with her husband and credit card with her husband, but she does not have her own.  As a result when time to buy a house,  it only appeared her husband credit history. Another woman who has been housewife for all the time does not have credit history. House they own is her husband name, bank accounts are either husband only account or joint account.  Of course she does not have income, although they have enough money to live.  Often I suggest them to build up your credit, if you stay in this country, you never know what happening. You are existing person in real, but your are not existing person on financial record.

Build your credit and have happy life.

日本の女性でクレジットヒストリーのない方がいらっしゃるのには驚かされます。　主婦の方、お店を手伝っている奥様の中にはご自分名義のクレジットカード、銀行口座を持っていない方もあり
収入ががないことになっているの事実上扶養家族扱いになっています。口座やクレジットカードは
共同名義ということもありますが、メインの名義が旦那様になっているため、クレジットヒストリーが
ないに等しいということになります。必要ないと思われますが、たとえば家が旦那様の名義になっていて、ローンも旦那様名義の場合、万が一の事が起こった場合、奥様のクレジットヒストリーがないのでローンの支払い能力がないとみなされてしまう事もあります。クレジット上では独立した大人として存在しない事になりますので、将来のために自分のクレジットを確立しましょう。

Memorial Day BBQ

BBQ season starts at Memorial  Day and end at Labor Day. That I believed.
Pork Rib, and Chicken, sometime Beef, are our family menu.
Don't forget potatoes salad, and cold beer, roasted summer vegetables. 
Enjoy food, enjoy holiday.

メモリアルデーは夏一番のＢＢＱのはじまり。我が家の定番はバックリブ、チキン、時々牛肉。

Happy Memorial Holiday Dinner

I went to Ranch99 to fill up my empty refrigerator.  I remembered that this weekend was Memorial Holiday weekend.   BBQ dinner is good idea, but over calories.  Japanese style dinner is good for my diet.

空っぽの冷蔵庫だからランチ９９でお買い物、
メモリアルホリデーだということに気がついて、
ＢＢＱにしようかとも思ったけれど、結局和風にしました。

Happy Money Management

 Money matters are very sensitive and private issue even within your family.
 But it is very important to make open atmosphere to discussing about family financial issue within your family. 
For example, you are at age 55 and your parents are still alive around age 80's. You have children and wife, and your both parents are still active. However you are worried about your parents future, financially and physically. Do they have enough money to cover medical expense, or who takes care of my parents when they become ill?  I am 55 and I worry about my job security, and I cannot afford to take care of my parents if they become sick. 
 Even you have some monies to support your parents, you want to ask them how much money or asset they have?  How they want to handle their money and assets in case they become incapable.  Some parents get mad, and hate to talk about money matter within the family, and some parents are very open to discuss.
 If you start discussing about it, your parents feel that you want to their money, but the truth is that you are planning to save your money to help your parents, and you need to  figure out how much you have to save every month to contribute you parents financially.

 You have chance to discuss with your parents, if only one time marriage, but if it is complected family structure, I guess you better not to discuss about it. Instead, suggest to see financial advisor or lawyer to discuss their financial matter.
